Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency Law 2009

Policy Objectives

  • Encouragement of a productive and sustainable harmony between man and his environment;
  • Promotion of efforts that will prevent or eliminate damage to the environment and biosphere and stimulate the health and welfare of Ekiti State people in general;
  • Enriching the understanding of the ecological systems and natural resources important to Ekiti State;
  • Ensuring the compliance of development projects with Environmental Impact Statement (EIS); and
  • Providing necessary policies in relation to environmental research and technology.
