National Policy on Gender Education

Policy Objectives

  • "Ensure equitable access to empowering and inclusive education for all by the year 2030"
  • Increase enrolment, retention completion and transition at all levels of education
  • "Provide a gender-sensitive learning environment that will facilitate the all-round development of the Nigerian learner."
  • "Promote sound, and functional academic qualification that will enable the attainment of greater equity and inclusiveness in the basic requirements for tertiary education as well as skills for self-reliance for male and female candidates"
  • Promote equal access to quality education devoid of gender discrimination at all levels
  • Reduce failure and dropout rates of girls and boys, men and women at all levels of education
  • "Improve quality teaching and learning outcomes for all learners"
  • "Advocate for partnership and support of all key stakeholders in resource mobilization"
